Starscream WW2 style by Jutami Starscream WW2 style by Jutami
Thought I'd pull out the markers and do something while waiting out my fever. I made Starscream with inspiration based on a Messerschmitt Bf109 (more or less, hardly exact) in Finnish army colors of WW2. It's just too fun to make these half armored robots and stuff, gets you thinking as well. A bit high-tech this one, but I tried to stay away from too modern day looking parts in the drawing.

I only got 1 green marker(lol) so the depth of the green is pretty weak, had to do some "creative" combination and stuff...

Should get back to doing the stunticons I think...

Cheers

I had the idea of doing Screamer as a Hawker Hurricane, but this is pretty much what I had in mind.
Awesome!

hmmm. I think he would be suited better as an ME-262. But still, fantastic work!

if starscream is a Messerschmitt, who would be a lancaster?

That definitely fits Starscream well.

The 109 was a terror for its manuverability & speed. The Soviet Yak 9 could've EASILY been a great alternative! Even the Stuka JU87G w/ machine-guns & 37mm Flak cannons would've been a monster!

I could see him using this alt-mode, with a 262 as a later upgrade.

Actually thats a really great idea. I dont know WHY they havent done this in a transformers comic series.

I can totally see the Decepticon planes as 109s, 190s and 262s, Megatron as a Tiger, Prime as something utility like a Deacon or Dorchester. Hell, you could even have Soundwave as an Enigma device!

They did - it was a crossover with a WWII version of G.I. Joe and received some pretty mixed reactions ;) see more info here [link]

I could so see Starscream changing into a Bf109...that is, until he got a look at the Me262. Then he would really show his speed! :XD:

OMG! I can totally see this transformation as possible. Great design. Planes are always that much harder to do cool transformations.
